One of the fun and interesting things about old houses is their wonkiness. Sometimes doors won't close properly, walls aren't smooth, moldings are crooked, and floors aren't level.
And you just have to improvise and live with it.
As an example, we have this baseboard that we had to scribe and sand to fit the crooked old floor in the office. Looks kind of crazy, doesn't it?
But here it is being nailed into place and we're happy with it.
Another thing we're happy with is this new heat gun. We are reusing old doors, and it makes stripping off four layers of paint go quickly. After a quick sanding and a coat of primer, we'll be ready for paint.
