You think we need new windows?

| Office window before |
These are our original seventy-year-old wood casement windows. Single pane, horribly water spotted, with failing putty, and some rot here and there. Most of them had their hardware removed and were screwed and painted shut. For this fresh-air girl, that was like torture.
Soon after our permit was approved, we ordered replacements for about one third of the house. The new windows match the old ones almost perfectly.

| New Laundry Room Window |
We have installed new windows in the kitchen, laundry room, breakfast room, upstairs bedroom, and family room.
Sometime in the future we will get identical windows for the living room and other bedrooms.
We have had the office windows sitting in the garage waiting for some spare time.
That time has arrived.

During the window project some damage occurred to the walls, so we had to patch them. Trying to match the faux finish would have been impossible, so I decided to repaint. I chose Behr's " Pure Turquoise" and I love it!
It reminds me of the beautiful aqua waters of the Caribbean. This room faces southeast so it gets lots of warm sun nearly all day long, and this color works really well in here. I don't think the red floral chair will stay, but for now I'm delighted to have this fresh space with clean, energy efficient windows.
